Who is responsible. Minibit Ltd (“Minibit”), registered in England and Wales under company number 16823252, is the data controller for personal data collected through this website and through enquiries sent to it. Contact: steve@minibit.co.uk, Newcastle upon Tyne, UK.
What Minibit collects and why
- Enquiries. If you email, call or use the contact form, Minibit holds your name, contact details, company and whatever you tell it about your needs, so that it can reply and, if you go ahead, deliver the work. Lawful basis: Minibit's legitimate interest in responding to you, and then the contract between you and Minibit.
- Website. This site does not set analytics or advertising cookies and does not use tracking pixels. The hosting provider records standard server logs (IP address, pages requested, browser type) for security and reliability, retained for a short period.
- Fonts. Pages load the Inter Tight typeface from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests the font files from Google and Google receives your IP address in the process. A self-hosted copy can be used instead on request.
Client data during engagements
When Minibit works inside your systems, it acts as a processor under a written data-processing agreement, follows your instructions, and never moves client data into consumer AI tools. Details are set out in each engagement agreement.
Sharing and transfers
Minibit does not sell personal data. It shares personal data only with the service providers needed to run the business (email, hosting, accounting), each under contract, and with authorities where the law requires.
Retention
Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted after 12 months. Client records are kept for six years after the engagement ends for legal and insurance reasons.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of your data, ask Minibit to correct or delete it, object to or restrict processing, and complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. Email steve@minibit.co.uk to exercise any of these.
